We got our hands on the new Linux Mint 9 (Isadora) and quickly installed it and began test ing to see what’s new in the new OS. Below, you will find the screen­shots of our instal la tion. The new OS comes loaded a new soft ware man ager and more than 30.000 pack ages avail able to install. See the screen shots below.

Installing:

Pop in Mint 9 and boot your computer.

Con tinue

Double-click Install Linux Mint

Choose your lan guage and continue

Choose your region and continue

Select your key board lay out and continue

Select the drive to install Mint on

Enter your info and continue

Click Install to begin the installation.

Wait for the instal la tion to com plete, then restart your computer.

Restart

Remove the CD/DVD from the drive

Login

New Soft ware Man ager added in Mint 9. From here, you can install a pack age with just a sin­gle click.

Select a pack age and click the Install but ton to install the pack age. The link to the pack age is also included.

Users who used or installed the pack age and expe ri enced it can leave a review for others.

Review a pack age before you install. This is a one way to know if a pack age is worth installing.

Linux Mint, based on Ubuntu is easy to use and man age than most Linux dis tri b u tions. Instal la tion is the fastest amount most mod ern OS today. Don’t take my word for it, down load and test it yourself.
